Gee Whites is an al fresco casual dining cafe bar and restaurant with unparalleled views over the bay. Visitors can dine under canopy, sit with a relaxing drink overlooking scenic Swanage Bay or enjoy the convenience of our takeaway service to stroll across the beach and surrounding hills.

Specialising in locally caught seafood and shellfish, there is a wide selection of quality options on offer to suit all tastes and budgets. We serve alcohol including local ales and bitter and also hold a 5 star food hygiene rating.

On the top deck, there is an open-air table service restaurant and bar called The Roof Terrace. Plus, for those that like a sweet treat, we have Scoopies Ice Cream parlour on site.

Can I book a table?

Due to popularity, we operate a first come, first served basis. This means we do not reserve tables sorry.

What are your opening times?

We are open seven days a week. 8am to 9pm throughout the summer holidays. 8am to 8pm otherwise.

What are the seating options?

We are an al fresco dining space right next to the sea, therefore we cannot offer inside seating. Most people enjoy the front seaside seating, but we also have a canopy over the seating at the back for shade.

Do you offer table service?

No, we are a relaxed seaside restaurant. You order at the counter and we provide you with a buzzer which lets you know when your food is ready for collection.

Where are you located?

We are located right on the Old Stone Quay, Lower High Street down towards Swanage Pier. (1, High St. BH19 2LN)

Are pets allowed?

Yes, all outside seating means we can cater for everyone. But please be respectful of other patrons.

Do you just serve Seafood?

No, we have a wide variety of quality food that includes Breakfasts, Sandwiches, Ciabattas, Burgers, Pizzas, Jacket Potatoes, Fish & Chips, plus a Children’s Menu.

Can we moor our boat at Gee Whites?

We do not have a pontoon or facilities to ferry you to and from your boat, but there is a water taxi service in Swanage right next to us (07802480139). We have a lot of guests come on boats, anchor up and use this taxi service to come and dine or have a relaxing drink enjoying the views.
